Vertically Integrated Manufacturing
CEF Industries operates an 85,000 square foot manufacturing facility equipped with advanced CNC and manual machining equipment to support the production of linear electro-mechanical actuators, rotary electro-mechanical actuators, oil-less air compressors, ball screws, and cargo handling system components. Our vertically integrated approach allows us to manufacture most components within our assemblies, ensuring quality control and on-time delivery.
Machining Capabilities
Our diverse machining capabilities include:
- Vertical milling with single spindle and 4th axis positioning for parts up to 160 inches x 24 inches x 18 inches
- Lathe operations with up to 3 inch through spindle capacity and Y-axis milling
- Turning centers with multiple chucks, 2 inch spindle capacity, and Y-axis milling
- Gun drilling up to 72 inch capacity for 2 inch stock
- ID, OD, and thread grinding up to 2 inches
- Broaching up to 2 inch tool size with 10 ton capacity
- Cut-off saw capabilities up to 24 inches x 24 inches
- Gear cutting including bevel up to 3 inches, hobbing up to 6 inches, and standard up to 2 inches
Assembly Operations
We provide complete assembly services for electro-mechanical systems and mechanical systems. Our experienced assembly team handles complex assemblies for aerospace actuators, compressors, gear boxes, and cargo handling system components. Clean room assembly is available for sensitive components requiring contamination control.
Additional Manufacturing Services
- Motor winding and assembly for brushless DC motors
- Printed circuit board assembly meeting IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards
- Welding and brazing including TIG, MIG, and resistance welding
- Heat treatment for stress relief, hardening, and tempering
- Plating and surface finishing including anodizing and protective coatings
Finishing and Deburring
Our finishing capabilities ensure components meet exacting aerospace standards:
- Vibratory tumbling with tubs up to 48 inches
- Glass and aluminum bead blast chambers for parts up to 30 inches
- Rotary gear deburring system for precision gear finishing
