CEF Industries is a full-service aerospace manufacturing company with diverse capabilities supported by our vertically integrated manufacturing approach. We have the expertise to manufacture most components within our assemblies, from machined parts like gears and housings to motor assemblies and printed circuit boards. Through stringent make versus buy analysis, we balance in-house production with strategic outsourcing to maximize affordability for our customers.
Our Core Capabilities
Manufacturing
Our 85,000 square foot facility houses advanced CNC and manual machining equipment for precision component manufacturing. Capabilities include vertical milling, lathe operations, turning centers, gun drilling, grinding, broaching, gear cutting, and complete assembly operations for electro-mechanical systems and mechanical systems. We provide clean room assembly for sensitive components and comprehensive deburring and finishing services.
Engineering
Our engineering team provides complete design and development support using advanced CAD software including SolidWorks and Solid Edge. We perform formal design verification through FEA, FMEA, FMECA, and MTBF analysis. Our manufacturing engineers create optimized routings and BOMs to support efficient product realization, while our design engineers develop solutions for linear electro-mechanical actuators, rotary electro-mechanical actuators, oil-less air compressors, ball screws, flexible shafts, and cargo handling system components.
Quality and Certifications
CEF Industries maintains AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certification with a robust quality management system. Our quality engineers implement rigorous procedures including incoming inspection, in-process inspection, first article inspection, and final certification. We utilize state-of-the-art inspection equipment including automated CMM systems, optical comparators, and computer-controlled test fixtures to ensure defect-free products that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
